About Us Honoring Lives, Celebrating Memories, Embracing Hope. We are compassionately dedicated to helping families embrace the life and the story of the one they love with warmth and comfort of light. |
| Kindling Hope Our founders first had the idea for the Light of Hope® product line in June of 2010 while driving by a cemetery at dusk. They did a “double take,” seeing brilliant light come from the cemetery. They quickly realized that what we were seeing was the sunset shimmer off the top of polished monuments. However, curiosity got the best of them and later, after dark, they drove through that cemetery and found that there were actually lights around the memorials; cheap, ineffective, plastic garden stake lights. While one normally thinks of cemeteries as dark, foreboding places, it all made sense; the comfort symbolic of light kindled a sense of peace and hope. Why Light? Above everything else in life, relationships have the greatest potential to bring us joy. They give us a deeper understanding of what is truly important in life; they become a point of light along the path of our life’s journey. Some have been dazzling rays that celebrate our accomplishments and others have been a warm, steady beacon of light during some of our darkest times. Coping with the loss of a loved one can be one of the most challenging experiences we face. The journey through grief is different for each of us… we all travel our own path. There is one commonality, however – each life that touches our soul has shined a light into our world, and it seems only fitting to embrace their memory with light. The Beginning ![]() With a zeal in our hearts we began a quest to determine if ‘remembering with light’ was unique to one cemetery, or if there was an unfulfilled need to embrace the memories of those we love in a meaningful way. While researching products used expressly for remembrance and memorialization, we uncovered a reverberating need for quality lighting solutions that would tell a story, connect generations, preserve legacies, honor memories, and bring hope for the future. Our company mission at Light of Hope® – to ‘walk the path of grief with others’ while offering support and encouragement – grew from the passion to be a warm welcoming beacon of light on the very rocky path of healing from a loss. The Journey Two and a half years later we have matured into a team of more than 20 talented individuals, cultured a vision and built a company that is poised to reinvigorate memorialization worldwide. The industry has welcomed us like few others. With ideas garnered from our team and advisory board, we designed and produced an innovative lighting product, the first of which shipped in January of 2012. Our advertising and industry trade show marketing has netted nearly 100 dealer locations throughout North America, and has generated inquiries from around the globe including Australia, Iceland, Brazil, Chile and the UK.It has been an honor to donate Light of Hope® Luminaires to a memorial for a fallen police chief in New Hampshire; to the TEARS Foundation for their Angel of Hope memorial for newborns and babies lost too soon in Seattle; to the new Angel of Hope/Christmas Angel Box statue being completed for the children’s section of Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup, Washington; to a memorial commemorating the 1974 tornado victims in Xenia, Ohio; to a Veteran’s Memorial in Mankato, Kansas’ Courthouse Square; and to a Vietnam veteran’s gravesite in Cincinnati, Ohio.
